Calovia ("we", "the app") helps you understand the nutrition of your meals by analyzing food photos. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We keep it short because we collect very little.

What we collect

• Food photos you scan. When you scan a meal, the photo is sent to our AI providers (Google Gemini and OpenAI) to estimate its nutrition. Photos are used only to generate that result and are not used to advertise to you or sold to anyone.
• Your scan history and profile. Results, your goals, and health-condition toggles are stored on your device. Scanned images are saved in the app's private storage on your device.
• Anonymous app identifier. We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to issue a random token so our servers can verify requests come from the app. It is not linked to your name or email.
• Subscription status. Purchases are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat to unlock premium features. We never see your card details.

What we do not do

• We do not track you across other apps or websites.
• We do not sell your data.
• We do not require an account, name, or email to use the app.

Third-party processors

Photos and requests are processed by Google (Gemini API) and OpenAI for analysis, and by Google Firebase for anonymous authentication. Subscriptions are handled by Apple and RevenueCat. Each processes data under its own terms.

Data retention & deletion

Your scans and profile live on your device — deleting a scan removes its image, and deleting the app removes all local data. Photos sent for analysis are processed transiently by the AI providers and are not retained by us.

Medical disclaimer

Children

Calovia is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
